Kanine Freedom can provide you the structured training both you and your dog need to succeed. We provide training for both puppies and adult dogs. Private training in the comforts of your home or at a park!  It is important to educate dog owners on the proper techniques to work with your dog’s issues and to strengthen the human canine relationship. We cover private lessons in several areas of Sonoma County such as Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Sebastopol, and Petaluma.

Kanine Problem Solver- $275

This 2-hour private lesson will give you a quick start on immediate improvements. In the comfort of your home or a park in Sonoma County, we will work together so that you and your dog can live a happier life together. Kevin will help you learn to communicate with your dog and establish a good foundation at home and teach your dog to listen to you. Additional help is available or may be needed in the future, but this will give you a jump start.

Kanine 101 Program- 4 Lessons – $800

This shorter program consists of 4 private lessons in your home or nearby park.  This program is ideal for dogs with short-term problems or those that want a more affordable option for training.  Dogs that fit into this program may have the below behavior concerns:

  • Jumping on people
  • Pulling on leash
  • Reacting, barking, or lunging at people or dogs
  • Excitability
  • Fearfulness
  • Minor anxiety

Baby Kanine Program – 6 Lessons – $950

This is a Puppy Program to teach your puppy (8 months and under) a foundation of house manners, boundaries, walking and general obedience.  This program can also address other puppy concerns of chewing, jumping, mouthiness.   During the lessons, you and your puppy will learn about appropriate socialization for your puppy dependent on their comfort level.

Your Baby Kanine will learn:
  • Sit, down and Come
  • Crate Training
  • Potty Training
  • Loose leash walking
  • Calmer behavior
  • Improved confidence

Big Kanine Program- 6 Lessons – $1000

This is for your adult dog that may still act like a puppy, or have more serious problems like pulling on walks, anxiety, dog reactivity, fearful behavior, or problems with visitors entering your home.  Working with Kevin will help fill in the gaps to communicate with your dog effectively.  Solutions to Big Kanine problems will be provided so your dog can be more fulfilled, calmer, and a pleasure to be around.

Your Big Kanine will learn:

  • Sit, Down, Stay and Come
  • How to walk on a loose leash
  • Calmer behavior
  • Place command (to stay in a certain area or bed)
  • Socialization skills with people and dogs
  • Alternative behaviors to jumping, barking and excitement

Kanine Premium Program- 8 Lessons – $1800

Off-leash freedom is possible with the premium program.  If you want your dog to explore on hikes or walk off-leash, and come when called, this program is for you and your dog.  Challenging the dog around increasingly difficult distractions in public is part of this program. (I always recommend following local leash guidelines)

  • Commands at a distance and around distractions
  • Walking off-leash
  • Reliable recall (come)
